Apsara Dance - Khmer Traditional Dance

Cambodia is the land full of rich culture, which expresses through ritual ceremonies and dances. There are many types of Cambodian dances, such as classical, folk, social dances…Dance is a beautiful art to Cambodian people and one of the most fascinating fine art is the classical dance.

But this dance is the mouse popular dancing of Khmer Traditional dance, We call Apsara dance. And there are have many types of Khmer traditional dance such as Coconut dance, Tepmonom dance….

In classical Cambodian dance, women, dressed in brightly colored costumes with elaborate headdresses, perform slow, graceful movements accompanied by a percussive ensemble known as the Pin Peat. Pin peat orchestras include drums, gongs, and bamboo xylophones.
